I'm trying to use my thompson without the stock any help on where i could i fit a small type battery
why not mod the Thompson sling to carry the battery?

On Line in store and in your face
www.ai-mag.com
Now with added WWII Airsoft Appeal

Thats not that bad of an idea, but where would you attach the sling to if theres no stock?
i was thinking of making a battery that would fit in the receiver behind the gearbox
I've always fancied doing something like that after seeing a picture of one somewhere. Also, I'm 5'9", and the Tommy is a bit of a beast.

ya i got the idea from the book filthy thirteen i guess alot of paratroopers did it. the sling idea is good i might have to try that
The slings are quite small and light, might be another idea to duct-tape the battery to the receiver if you don't get on with the sling.

that is what im going to do today so i can see how it works but eventually i'd like a more permanent solution or i'll just stick the stock back on there
Heh, McQueen did this in Never So Few:

He also taped mags together for quick changing.....

It's a shocking film, truly terrible.

heh... but at least its about burma ![]()

On the US ww2 forum someone did a 1928 with a detachable butt and he put the batteries in the drum mag, also if you're thinking of fitting some in the reciever area try Li-Po batteries as they're much smaller than the usual airsoft ones, again on the US ww2 forum someone built a Mk2 sten and fitted Li-Po batteriees into the receiver tube.
