Sorry if this has been explained elsewhere but if I was "taxed" by our beloved government how much would I expect to pay?

I'm planning to get a MP40 and three sets of two magazines which will cost about £66.96 + £53.00 postage if this helps.

Its hard to say, I think parcle farce who act as customs agents make the fees up as they go along, I also think parcel farce may not pass their handeling charges on to the gov, I got one they stoped & the reciept I got after paying them the money ( £17 ) was for a handling charge & a clearance fee but no mention of import tax, I would say order the mags seperate from the gun, smaller packages seem to get through easier, I have had several mp40s with none getting stopped,

Thanks for the response chaps, I think i'll follow Steve's advice and split the package, might be worth getting the gun sorted first anyway.

I ordered a wood kit and four hi-caps for my M1A1... Delivered in <10 days and no extra charges.

Only problem was the delivery co. left it with a neighbour but didn't put a card through my door. Bl**dy good job I have nice neighbours!
