So this came up on my Facebook feed. I have no other details about this gun but hopefully more info will come out soon.
Regards,
Ralph
Only information I could drag up on this was from a Russian forum, with one of the chaps apparently very sure of himself that it was going to be a springer (with lots of other comments along the lines of there being an 'inhumane price tag', according to Google translate).
We can only hope...
'ABSIT OMEN'
Could it just be a rebranded KTW?
I so hope this gun will be worth waiting for.

Exactly what I was thinking! Hello £1000+ price tag
As soon as I read what Kendo wrote about it being expensive I remembered the Red Wolf Custom Marushin M1 Garand. Hopefully it's a clone of the KTW with a better magazine system?
Still can't beat a Shoot and Scoot No4 in my personal opinion.
Think about it, you're getting a properly custom hand made gun, original parts on them generally, a UK based maker who knows the hobby well and the price tag is far from disagreeable ! Also, customs fees if in the UK? No! Postage is cheaper too which people don't seem to factor in....plenty of spare mags as well - I could go on all day!
Not gonna lie, I may sell my mother to afford this. Nom.

Sadly, for various reasons, SnS is a non event for people outside the UK.
That doesn't mean anyone would pay the likely price (~800-1000usd) of this item.

Greetings everyone,
Well, it seems I'm one of that Russian chaps
What do we have now, directly from one of the RWA officials (RWA representative in Russia):
:
- the prototype was made on VSR-10 design, so the overall dimensions are shifted to fit it, they did not know that L-96/MP-001 is somewat better to start from, with smaller bolt diameter
- back sight will be replaced with more common adjustable model
- hop-up chamber will fit VSR-type rubber, but of RWA manufacture (slightly smaller in inner diameter)
- RWA office in the UK is currently holding a discussion with English weapon's specialists, trying to improve the design according to actual de-activated Enfields. No information whether the prototype rifle was also shipped to UK for inspection
- no information on magazine
- aluminium body is being considered. Surely not a steel, but they DO try to move from aluminium alloys to get it more durable.
PS If you'll need a translation from Russian, you're welcome

Alexey

Thanks for the information. I'm definitely interested in this as I was wanting to get a custom vsr lee enfield anyway. Of course it really depends on price.

Ralph
Finally a manufacturer has listened!
Fingers crossed this sets off a trend.
Thanks for the information, Tankgunner!
The more I hear about this, the more excited I get.

Ditto. It does sound like they've done their market research with this.
Maybe we can get then to make a Bren next

Well VSR base is promising and they may make a SMLE No.1 Mk.III next...

If this gun sells well then I'm sure they'll put out some more ww2 products.

Oh I bloody hope so, hopefully they're not too expensive though. Fingers crossed their Enfield's will get cloned if they do cost a ridiculous amount, tbh I'm surprised their MG34 hasn't been yet.
Some images of the prototype posted on one Russian website. Not actual though, as it's said that RWA decided to move off from VSR-10 components to improve historical accuracy. Only VSR main spring and hop-up buckle will fit.

Oh my gosh. It is beautiful.
Bet they'll be asking a load of £ for it...
