Although KTW may have brought the Russian Mosin-Nagant into the airsoft market, followed by Zeta-Lab who made it more skirmish-able, it is SHS Guardian who will produce an affordable skirmish-ready Vintovka Mosina for airsoft enthusiasts. Pictures of the replica's strengthened plastic sample stock surfaced on Militaryblog.jp, confirming that the model will sacrifice some wooden solidity in order to maintain a low price point. The gas-powered replica will feature an ABS stock, full metal action, and a resin triangular bayonet. In addition, SHS Guardian looks to improve the skirmish ability of their product by having an "upper bullet system", a new bb loading system with wind-up function that is backed by Tokyo Marui, assuring "high accuracy" . Priced at 128USD, this World War Two replica will unquestionably attract attention when it releases on February 2012.

$128 sounds great! Hopefully the cheap cost might convince some WW2 softers to convert to bolt actions, or at least give it a try!

It's gas though, so unpredictable.
Well, you can predict that when it's cold it's going to be rubbish. :D
So many effective spring power bolt action systems.... :slap:

Oooh february release (if I've interpreted that right), hopefully some UK retailers will have it in stock by then. If they're using TM stuff, it should be good!

I think if it's anywhere near the price quoted I'm going to be having problems resisting this...

Anyone else having trouble with Airsoft Pandas check out?
I get stuck in a loop and never get to the final page.
For the money I think this is a must buy for WW2 fans.
It's a shame it's gas but thankfully not shell ejecting.
If the mechanism works I can see a few bolt action conversions on this rifle.

Shame this is coming out too late for the Sevastapol game.

I think I might be compelled to forget my loathing of gas guns to give this a go. I don't care much what it shoots like anyway - I'm the (other) chap who turned up to an smg fight with a DBoys......

Can I request that someone in the know gives us all a heads up when these surface in the UK?

Thanks.

Aaaaand for those interested, here is the 'new' BB loading system they're using (apparently made by zeta labs a released through SHS):

It's the same as the loading system on my KTW 1903, the problem with it is that the magazine baseplate is not very secure and could be easily lost when skirmishing, (that is on the KTW maybe Zeta Labs have addressed that problem :| ), plus you have to invert the rifle to load.
