I've finally finished my first SMLE, pretty pleased with it for a first attempt. I have a slightly improved model in the pipeline which I'm putting into an L42A1.

Original parts where practical, including the buttstock. The forestock and top guards are new manufacture to avoid any weak points in a conversion. You can see the whole build process in the posts linked to in the article above.-- attachment is not available --

Not bad not bad at all. Only thing I really miss is the rear sight protector and a charger bridge.

Yeah, a few tweaks due for production including those! Pretty happy for a first attempt.
