1.when i shoot, the BBs seem to just fly anywhere so it doesnt seem very accurate but is that normal because the fact how it has a short barrel
Mine shoots straight and true - your problem hasn't to do with a short barrel

3.is there any way i can sort out the stock wobble
Easy solution for me, I never use the stock.

and finally does anyone know any shop which i can buy new mags from that are cheap but are the original agm mags because ive read the king arm mags are rubbish
Kings Arms mags are rubbish? I've had no problems with mine. Some do say you have to lube them before use but I've not bothered.

I got mine second hand and it shoots pretty true. Sounds like either your hop is worn out or there's some debris or dirt in the barrel causing some friction and the bb to veer off.

I've got a box of king arms and they hold twice as many bb's as the Agm ones. They feed fine and I've not had any issues with them. The only downside is that they're not metal.

2.when i shoot,it never seems to be inline with the iron sight when i aim.it seems to go to the left.

For both of these: Did you try cleaning the barrel?

I have a couple of KA mags that give me trouble occasionally, but out of 10 I use in my Sten and MP40, it's only 2.

How many bbs have you put through it so far? All the guns I've owned have seemed a bit inaccurate to begin with. After 1000 rounds or so they settle in a bit

As BedsandHerts says it could be just needing broken in if it's new.
If it's an old hop because it uses friction to cause backspin the contact point between the bb and the hop rubber could have worn a little flat or maybe a little grease from the gearbox got on one side. I had that happen and could almost shoot round corners!

KA mags should work fine out of the box with an AGM, as with all new mags a quick spray of silicone down the bb feed tube to loosen any storage dust and dirt should be all they need. They may be a bit tight to start with but will loosen off after a few games.

what do you mean by worn

i have completely cleaned the barrel so that should be ok

if i do get the ka mags are there any mods i would have to do before they fit

cheers for the quick replies

If its a new mp40 then I agree with the hop needing bedding in, my new mp44 took over 500+ bb's before it started to respond properly to adjustment.

did you back off the hop when you cleaned the barrel? twisting the cleaning rod too far can move the hop rubber round a bit making it veer left or right

also agree if its second hand, possible worn hop rubber

well ive probably put around 300+BBs through it and it is new not second hand so yeah it probably is because it needs to have more put through it

are there any thoughts as to why it might be shooting left although rammix's theory sounds likely,i did turn the hop up of before i did it. ive played 2 games so far

Are you holding the gun straight? If you shoot at a slighly tilted angle (a bit like a gangsta rapper) and have over hopped the gun, it will affect horizontal accuracy big time. My Thompson goes round corners when shot at a tilted angle, kraumlauf style.

So if your gun is going to the left you make sure you arent tilting your wrists it to the left.

Its often overlooked usually on rifles, but worth a mention here too.

i cant say ive noticed myself to be tilting it but i will check the next time i use it

can anyone shed some light on the ka mags like i said people on other forums rekon you have to mod the mag or the magwell to get them to fit

No probs in mine.

However, with repeated use you might find that the metal catch on the MP40 will wear away the plastic catch engagement dimples on the magazines. Just wear and tear I guess.

One of my magazines falls out if unsupported because of this, but I just marked that magazine and when its in the MP40 I know to hold the gun by the magazine.

Work fine in my MP40.
Need an extra tap to fit in my Sten though.

Change the barrel and modify the hop assembly as per kalashnikov_kid's instructions. Also, King arms mags are the way to go. But they aren't always a drop in fit.

The king Arms 110 round magazines for the AGM MP40 are a little flawed. For them to fit properly, you will have to modify the plastic sleeve inside the magwell of the MP40. Just unscrew the it from the magwell and pull it out, then, using a hacksaw, cut out the front corner like so...

The mags will fit perfectly after. The original AGM MP40 mags will still fit as well. :)

I've never needed to mod my MP40 to use my KA mags.

Just looked in my magwell and it's still intact. Maybe they had a slight design change?

Could be, but two of my friends gave their king arms mag a slap to get it into an unmodified magwell and it broke the hop chambers. Also, by doing the mod, you lessen the wear and tear to the mag catch and hop chamber feed tube. It's a very easy mod to do anyway. But if the mags work in your MP40 without mods, then good for you. :)

I tried mine again last night, and they need a bit of a slap to get them in. This might be the BB blocker on the top of the mag, but it might not be just that.
I'm planning on overhauling my MP40 soon, in a manner similar to Kalashnikov_kid's thread. At that time I'll look at doing the insert mod. Though as I'm going to try putting in a TM AK hop, I'm probably going to wait to see the outcome.

WRT the Sten; the hop unit is "floating" in that (i.e. not screwed in), so it's less likely damage will occur to the hop unit.

most places ive looked at say that you have to mod the ka mags

As mentioned above, there are some existing threads on the the KA mags.

Personally I didn't bother with any of the mods, they just need a firm smack to make them go in, which is really rather satisfying. I did lube them all first though by spraying in a ton of silicone then repeatedly reloading them until they finally took the full 110 (many only took 30-40 on the first try).

I then just weathered them with drybrushed silver paint and fire blacking, and bingo, they suddenly look like 'metal'.

I too have a wobbly stock which is even missing one of the grub screws holding the whole thing together. I just keep it folded (although one day I'll put a replacement screw in). You get what you pay for with Chinese guns, although some are better than others. All my CYMAs are great (apart from the stock on my AK47s).

Cheers
Martin

I have recently been looking for a box of KA midcaps myself. From all the research I've done, I've couldn't find anywhere online in the UK that has them in stock :(
I ended up buying a box from All About Airsoft* (local to where I was gaming this past weekend) who still had some in stock.
