Just found this on Airsoft News, video of the SRC MP40 with moving bolt and a hicap mag ?
http://airsoft-news.eu/news.php?item.3465.1
And lipo battery...
And no selector switch.
From the SRC website:

Wonder when the MP41 will be out ?
How much are these selling for????
Nice looking steel finish on the receiver and I like the fact it's got no selector switch. Not convinced about the weedy looking "blowback", or the hicap though.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Must admit i was expecting a little more from the Blowback. Bit of a damp squib after seeing the blowback action on some pistols.
Haven`t seen them for sale yet. Tend to agree, the blowback looks to have a very short stroke, I`m wondering if the AGM mags will be compatible ?
Blow back looks much the same as on most AEGs.
Did you notice he was using what looks like a lipo battery?

Are the AGM mags for 8mm BBs?
The AGM mags take 6mm just like the SRC ones. Where the SRC states 8mm ball bearing it means in the gearbox.

Ah, OK.
I just watched the video...
Is it just me that gets "annoyed" when they add the so-called "realistic bolt action" that starts the wrong way?
The new TM M4 also has a simulated random gun jam option.Which requires to you to pat the mag and pull the cocking lever before it will work again. Which i think is pretty cool.
Would certainly bring a different aspect of realisim into WW2 games if your faced with a jam in close combat. Kind of a Do or Die!! thing.
Though agree you've gotta get the blowback right or it looks pap.
Back on track, features like on the SOPMOD would be great on the likes of an MP40/MP44/M1 Garand AEG etc. I doubt we'll see it though as AEG development seems the be predominantly in the area of modern weapons. You never know though.....
It's actually really easy to do, electronically, once a MOSFET's fitted. You'd need to fit an extra circuit in it, and a microswitch somewhere that the bolt can activate (to reset the 'jam') but the circuit's dead easy.

I'd be happier if manufacturers managed to make our toy guns 100% reliable before building in unreliability.

I don't see the lower receiver being steel it will be alloy like the AGM so main difference may just be a better gearbox if you don't want the blowback.
Free speech is expensive these days!

100% reliability? That'll be a Marui then. Not a single other manufacturer can boast of having such a high MTBF rate as TM can.
When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
There is a plug-in gizmo that you can wire into any airsoft gun that allows you to change the rate of fire (to make it more like the real steel one) and also simulates gun jams. Also lets you have 3 and 2 round burst fire if it's a modern gun.
