hi
been putting these together over the last few weeks and they are nearly finished so i thought i would stick some pics up. the enfield is vsr based which is easy enough to fit in the original stock but the bolt handle is a bit further forward than it should be. the sten is built around a mp40 gearbox and i have increased the diameter of the receiver to 44mm so that i can get an aug/m60 battery in there. it also uses mp40 mags which have g&p m635 90 rnd internals inside, a bit better than the mp40 45 rnd ones.

cheers
jay

Lovely jubbly!

Can you share how you did the mag placement / bb feed on the sten?

Cracking stuff! Really liking the No4. Also good to know the G&P 635 internals will go into the MP40 mags.

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

thanks for the comments guys.

woodlander, i cant take pics of it at the moment as it is at work. i have made the hop unit myself which is a cylindrical shape piece of metal the same size as the i/d of the receiver tube, which then has a small piece of tube coming out sidways into the magwell.

slick63, the sten has not taken too much to make and it would be possible to make some kits in the future, but i have a few more projects that i would want to do first.

chthree, the metal band on the no4 is screwed into the rear of the fore stock and this band has a threaded hole in it, then the butt stock can be bolted to this as per original.

boshman, the g&p m635 mag internals fit into the mp40 mags quite well and all you have to do is drill a hole through the top of the mp40 mag for location. but if you want to use these with the mp40 you will either have to rub down the feed tube on the hop unit or open up the hole on the top of the mag as they do not fit.

will get some more pics up next week.
cheers
jay

I couldn't put a kit together, but if you're thinking of making any more, let me know the price. :)

So it has a working hop that you've made yourself?

Is that a real-deal stock on it?

hi richard
yes i have made the hop and it feeds o.k and has adjustable hop with a screw in the top. the stock is real deal but had to mount it different to the original, so it is bolted on and very sturdy.
