I've received an email from my oriental friend, telling me that he's now producing these. Price unknown at the moment but he's always done me good deals in the past. I'm trying to gauge interest, to see how many I should order from him if anyone's interested in replacing the aluminium ones that Tanaka fit.

I don't know why I'd want one or what they are for and even if I had one it wouldn't make any difference and would probably make things worse, so I won't put up my hand for one! My K98 doesn't like me very much.
BTW, what are they for?

They replace the part of the magazine that the firing pin strikes. The standard Tanaka ones are made of aluminium and wear down, or worse, bend, with use.

I have 3 mags so please put my name down.
Rob :good:

Lt. Morris Schaffer: "Second rate punk," eh?
Major John Smith: Sorry. All I could think of on the spur of the moment.
Lt. Morris Schaffer: Thanks, that makes it even worse.

I've had a reply. Apparently they're made from 45C Steel. I've been quoted $16.50 each for these, plus post and paypal, which, frankly is a bit steep in my opinion. I'm going to push for a better price than that, as with the quantities people want, the package will be heavy and postage will be higher.
