I have been offered a new spring Tanaka Kar98k but I am struggling to find any information on them. It is not a cheap option by any means but are they worth the money?

From what I know of Tanaka, they have always been an expensive item, but no one I know who has one has said anything against the quality.
You can't go wrong with a springer, no gas probs, no electric probs........just the money you have to pay for Tanaka!
They are a bit of a rare beast because they were so expensive from new, almost the same price as the gas version I think. Unfortunately information on them seems very sparse, if they were crap then I dare say someone would have put something on the internet. I`m surprised that the Chinese haven`t cloned it by now.

Didn`t know such a thing existed i would have one if they were on offer but you would have to upgrade the spring. 88 fps i could see it coming out og the barrel on the vid

Thanks slick. That seems to be very inconsistent over those few shots. I shall speak to the seller, it is brand new and going for a good price. He is also selling the antique looking gas version.

Neither did I, you are right about the power. It was actually in metres per second but 88 is still low.

Yeah, this one is up fro considerably less than that. I have always fancied owning something Tanaka and these look fantastic.
