Tanaka Luger?

hey HFC22 is to hard for tanaka p08 inst? some one is cheaping it to da country and es cheaper dan dustergas and brings the oil and stuff

I found this comment on the American WWII Airsoft Association Forum by a guy known as Gordak;

Green gas is garunteed to destroy the luger, the parts that didnt break yet have heavy wear. Ive own 4 lugers, my very first one I used green gas just a wee bit, and its was ruined, barely functions compared to my other 3.

people Im having a problem whit da luger the bbs are stucking somewhere betwen de barrel and nocht mechanism some one have any ideas dunno what is it

thanks john It was the gas I was using last time it wasent f134 it was compresed air (fuxxx mexican duster gas) it is compressed air so I think it was de mechanism go faster and the last 4 bbs didnt get out the mag now every thing is just finne other thing I never touched the hop up I think it fires just grate like that but anyway how it looks like for not touching it? thanks cya

We all have the basic idea about hops................. the lugar is fixed from the bottom........ how is it ment to work properly ????

Ive been fiddling around with mine today and i've NEVER got the thing to fire in a straight flight for more than 10 meters.... always drops fast towards the ground

Any ideas mate ??

As a theory, I reckon it may function the same way that the old LRB's did back in the day when ALL decent sized guns needed a gas bottle to make em work

The Luger is a fine pistol but must be taken good care of. The airsoft one mimicks the function of the real steel very exactly. Like the real steel it is not a friend to mud and dirt, so keep it clean.

This gun, like all Tanaka guns is designed for 134a.

For those looking for a nice alternative axis weapon, the WA Beretta M1934 is perfectly acceptable and a realistic choice for the discerning German officer. Its also WA so you know the quality will be excellent.

I got the gun second hand, but it was well looked after, just the usual mag problems LEAKS !!!

I've stripped this this thing down about 1000000000000000000000 times thinking it may be dirty. but its very clean.

134a gas you say i put Abby ultra in mine today (forgot the 134), fires fine BUT, it has NO distance.

Is it set with a fixed hop rubber ??

I like this gun but it shoots utter shite

tanaka have released three different versions of the mags as they have always had problems leaking . I replaced mine and they work fine now. The hop is adjusted from underneath I f you do it too tight it will actually impede the bb in oits flight. sounds to me like you mag isnt releasing enough gas..I will have mine at arnhem if you want to try some other mags.

I have a few tanaka pistols and all of them other than the hi power I have had problems with the hop. Tanaka seems to make their hops out a brittle rubber that doesn't wear evenly and you end up with nicks out of the rubber. This happened to both of my tanaka revolvers very quickly. It then plays no end of havoc with the accuarcy of the pistol. With the revolvers you can get non hop barrels and run them on HFC22 to get over this. Wouldn't recomend it for a luger though as previously mentioned HFC22 would kill it rather quickly.

any buddie nows about butane gas I have mesured it and it goes like this:
butane makes 60psi tetrafluoretane makes 80psi any ones knows if butane have enny quimic reaction over rubber os the seals? Im using it on my pistol and the mag started to leak one is ok now by him self tomorrow Im going to open the other one to see what is happening the gas is leaaking by the bbs spring
