Anyone know why it's only US retailers with the drum mag in stock? The Asian shops don't seem to have it and there's no one in Europe that has these. Have we upset Cybergun?

The US ones are only for springers, I have 1 sat at home in a drum mag pouch, never been fussed to get it to fit, and have now sold the thompson.

Aha... I see... yes I have one of those converted to use with my 1928. Basically it involved putting a Marui mag inside it.

But for us the only one which is available at the moment is the spring one, and getting hold of those is a job and a half!

I got mine from Airsplat, unlike most US airsoft suppliers, they will finally admit that there is a world beyond US borders and export, if you bug them enough.

Looks good... shame the Tommy gun needs some work! God what have you done to it? (I take it you've used it a lot.. ;) )

So if I wanted to get one of these mags, where would I go and how much would it cost?

Is it electric or wind-up? If it's wind up does it use the winder on the front?

I think it looks brilliant, there's not that much difference, it's the same gun overall!

Exactly the same... Except for the milled-in upper receiver, The bolt position, lack of drum mag mounting grooves, etc.

Kind of like the No4 is exactly the same as the No1 Mkiii...

It's the same inertia action which was developed for the original Tommy gun, the original layout bar the coking handle difference, pretty much the same wood work, it uses the same calibre of rounds. It's still known as the Tommy gun...

You don't look at all the different variations of M16 that have been produced and say...it's a different gun.

It's a Thompson with a drum mag...

Wider Receiver too, it's actually a 'different' gun from the bare mechanics inside (real steel)

Yes the M1A1 has quite simplified internals over the M1928.

Oh and some might argue that the M1A1 isn't a Tommy gun. ;)

Its all down to manufacturer cost at the end of the day. They wont spend the cash developing the machining to create a new M1928 receiver when they have a perfectly good M1A1 receiver that they can modify. Especially with someone like Cyma.

You'll never get an accurate M1928 unless someone like TM take up the challenge..

As for the AZR receiver id be cautious. Seeing one first hand and reading how much of a challenge it was to make fit. Id go somewhere else. Shocking finish!

The little things dont worry me...aslong as it looks the part. Its good enough for me!
