Im planning on getting the new ultima MP44 listed 980$ on Den Trinity, is it a good buy?
I've tried to search around google and only found one review by a german guy, which was written in german.

The reason i didnt bother waiting for a chinese made one was because from what i've heard, the ultima one was converted from the NBB mp44, which was so well constructed, almost like the real steel.

Exactly! 50 rounds mp40 mags just wont do for open skirmishing(Yes guess what, we have almost non WWII airsoft events in canada, nor many players.)

The 480 rds mag looked really attracting, but the winding system confuses me, it looked like there was a cover on the bottom that you have to flip it up to wind the mag. If so, that would be really disturbing!

another concern i have is the negative reviews on the old shoei mp44 aeg. Small motor/fixed cocking handle/weak fire selector...etc

Seems like the new ultima mp44 have the same V2 gear box as the old shoei mp44, but im not sure if the ultima has a stronger motor built in or can it be upgraded?

I never feel outgunned, even on open days, with my lo-caps and MP40.

Nice sig pic btw, 8tharmy - I've got a GrossDeutschland uniform myself. And that is what I call a good helmet 'paint' job!

Has anyone imported an airsoft by post from the USA recently without any hassle from UK customs? Am thinking of a Ultima MP44, in particular, as it would be expensive if they took a dislike to it.

As soon as I saw the MP44 in den I had to have it! Lots of money, but worth it? You bet your ass it was! out of the box brilliant, best gun I've got! Word of advice I didn't bother with ak batt I hollowed out the stock and made myself a big mumma 3600mah to sit in it. Jerry had style! (P.s. I did rewire it, it didn't need it but the gun was apart)

I had no problems having it sent to the UK, Took about 5-7 days. Even if customs do get hold of it as long as you have a UKARA membership your covered and they will release it.

I hope these fags dont strip them down into little parts.

I've heard some nasty stories about them stripping airsoft guns down to see if they are real

Did i read somewhere that it IS POSSABLE to clam back the charges ??? (I'm sure it was from the old UKAN days) Not sure if its the customs or postal charges.
