A rather big OOPS!, built up a gear box for a project, so I thought well at least I won’t have any problems with the gearbox when I come to running the gun......all built then thought I’d test it.......lasted approximately three minutes-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --

Luckily I have more cases, which is just is just as well with the wonderful V2 gearbox, I’ve not known this happen to a V3 box .....yet.

It will be put into a Johnson 1941 LMG, have collected most parts for it now.......I think, just got to get the side feed sorted properly, it won’t be 100% correct but it will be near enough to look right.

That would be a JG G3 lower receiver, and I do have a spare ........somewhere, I might not be using this lever anyway as I think the project gun has it fitted on the other side. So if I can sort a change round I will.

I think a radius on the front corners of the v2 case cylinder window is a must if you have the gun apart for any other jobs, can help stopping a potential a crack like you've had they are known for that problem.Apparently batches G+G Casings started to crack a lot a few years back, said to have fixed the issue. i think metal grades or quality can vary. Also with mass production a drop on material spec may save loads of cash for the manufacturer.
I have a 2016 G+G v2 box that is the only one i have seen that is pre-radiused in production, well it appears manufacturer done i could be wrong.
On a zero dergree winter game i tend to go for a gun with a v3 box, does not crack where the v2 box allways does
Do you have any sorbathane to pad your cylinder heads Mr Elpus? it can be very expensive and hard to buy in UK in small quantity.the stuff sold for hi-fi buffs is too soft.

I haven’t had many of my own break, just two, but have replaced a fair few on customers guns, mainly various makes of M4. The cases break in various places around the front end. Now that most guns run at about 350fps not so many breakages, not had any specna or JG cases to replace ....yet.
There is a gadget made by Airsoft pro that fits to the front, but only in M4 cases I think, don’t know if it works or not. Older cases seem to be a problem ...perhaps cheaper made, who knows. Could be mainly design fault seeing as other versions don’t break.
I prefer v3, v6, and v7 anyway!
