Ok well im looking at weathering my new AGM mp40 ahead of Gunmans Battle for Minsk in July,
Im looking to make it look about 20 years Old because its mainly going to be used in my Vietcong impression
what tips is there from people who have allready taken up such projects?
Also its the full Black version, should i use Brown paint for the Bakelite effect or just leave it because i have seen some footage i belive to be of the ww2 period showing a full black Mp40
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kng8jpKM5YU
it starts with the Mp40 about 1:40 in

There isn't any particular significance to the 'Bakelite' - it came out various shades from purplish, through brown to blackish, with fairly even colour to more marbled. It's all the same sort of stuff. 'Black' or 'Brown' is how AGM toy MP40 guns come - not so clear cut with the real thing.

so it wouldnt be too incorrect to have an Mp40 with Black furniture?

As I say, no colour is 'incorrect', not least mismatched colours between sides/pistol grips/hand grips.

good work on that 8) I would do that to my sten if I didn't live in Hong Kong (where unpainted metal rusts). Maybe when I move back to the UK I'll give it a shot coz that looks like the real blinkin thing :D

GUNS: (ww2)
