So I bought a bar-10 springer to build a Lee Enfield but I have been able to fix up my old SnS Enfield. Now I have this bar-10 just sitting round taking up space. Anyone have any ideas of what builds I could make with it?

Regards,

Ralph

Virtually any bolt action rifle you can get a stock for mate, though some builds are easier than others as you have to file the wood down to virtual egg shell thickness on some of them for the Bar 10 to fit, then there's issues like barrel length.

I'd like to have a go at an Arisaka.

An arisaka could be fun. I did consider that or a mosin carbine.

Would the bar-10 internals fit inside an arisaka stock? I though arisakas were incredibly thin.

Ralph

I don't think it would, sadly. Not to mention God knows where you'd find one. I know you can get them from the states but not sure I feel comfortable decimating a near 80 year old (more than that usually) stock.

There's a wreck in Truk Lagoon that was carrying a few hundred of them if you fancy a project. I'll chip in. ;)

The type 99 is patented favourite of mine. The very best of Yesterday's technology. I've got a Wingun Mosin carbine I'm looking to chop into an M91/30 stock at the moment, got to get my MPi-KS finsihed first though...

I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.

You could sell it to me......cheap, so I can make a moisin nagant of some description, I have had this idea for some months and gather that it's already been done.

Ah fuck. You guys have picked a difficult one for me to build :slap:

The folding stock does look cool. We're they used much in ww2? It would be a fun build

Ralph

Sod all service in WW2, though they were adopted for service in Indochina, Suez and Algeria.

The standard MAS36 was issued extensively to Volksturm units in WW2. The German army hoovered a fair few up in 1940, by all accounts. ;)

Is this a bad time to say I've got an unissued full lower woodwork for a MAS-36 I had up for sale on here a while ago? Still for sale... ...just saying.... ;-)

Where did you blag that by the way? I know you're the patron saint of a rummaging bargain, but that's a find and a half!

That is a damned nice looking gun. I always forget about the French rifles!

Wouldn't say no to one of those though!
