Can anybody suggest a pistol for a British impression? I'd been looking at replicas (just as a holster filler), but then saw that single-shot springers are about half the price! I have seen a single-shot 1911, but I'd prefer a revolver. The only thing is, I don't know what would look authentic and what would not.

For holster-fillers:
There's a guy on the ww2 reenactment forum who makes a resin cast Webley .38.

Zib make a MK IV -

For airsoft, in addition to JD7's comment:
I use a TM M1911A1, and have recently bought one of the new WE Browning HPs.

If you want to not have to pay a fortune and actually hit something a 1911 is the one to get. You can't go wrong with a marui.

Tanaka S&W M10 Military and Police is the closest revolver you can find. Note that it probably won't be as accurate as the 1911.

I have a VERY old 6mm Marushim M10, which I've NEVER got a kill with. :)

Conversely, my stock TM M1911A1 has 7 kills in its last 2 outings.

Thanks all. I'm weighing it all up, given that I'm unlikely to use it that often. I think I only ever got one kill with my P38, partly because most enlisted men (FJ apart) did not have pistols. I'm guessing it would be the same for Brits (although I do require one for this particular impression).

I think I'm being drawn to the Zib replica Webley. 8)

I got one of those cheapo M1911 springers from Airsoft World, works as both a holster filler and shoots quite well with .25s.

If a .45 was good enough for Sidney Jary, it is good enough for me....
