I've been trying to get spare mags for my Tanaka G33/40 but I can only find ones for the k98, does anyone know if these will fit the G33/40?

Yup.
All the G33/40 is, is a shortened K98.
When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
