Posted elsewhere:

This is from the BotB game, we haven't finalised the Arnhem rules yet - but will be posted soon as (but unlikely to be different in principle).

Pistols Unlimited in Mags
All rifles SMGS etc 600 rounds loose or in mags
Support Weapons 3000

Players may leave ammo at the CP to re arm

All users of weapons identified as support weapons will have a yellow band placed around their arm.
Support Weapons must be used in a deployed mode, ie bipod on the ground or shoulder of a non-shooting team mate.

(use low, mid, or high caps as you fancy, total ammo carried counts)

I can't remember - I don't suppose it matters if snipers are allowed 600 rounds also. Imagine the weight of gas cans and red, raw and blistered hands trying to shoot that lot off!! I suppose I am saying those on single shot are self-limited anyway so ammo limit is immaterial.

600 rounds for bolt action as well... makes no odds really.

Th ammo limits are designed to deter spray and pray... You don't have that problem with bolt action.

Heh... I'm not a sadist! I want people to have a good day.

600 rnds works and its nice and easy to remember.

wow good luck. so to make my 600 last longer with the Thompson i decided to keep the 190 rnd hi-caps and just carry 3 of them. i was tempted to swap these and get the longer version and carrying one but that would tempt me into autoing a lot more lol.

Just dump 3000 rounds in your base, I was lucky to get 200 rounds off last time before I was dead!

I never ran out ammo all day. I just reloaded back to 600 at regen each time I died.

As usual at any WWII event , gun malfunctions stopped me from getting anywhere near the ammo limit, made up for it with pyros and smokes instead

Are we responsible for our own ammo - i.e. shall we turn up with bags of 600 rounds?

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

Well what we expect you to do is to carry mags that can take up to 600 rounds... eg. 3 thompson 190rnd mags, 1 Thompson 420 mag and a couple of locaps, etc...

Maybe for an AGM MP40 carry several of the locaps and then a speed loader which can take the remainder of your allowance.

When you return to your regen (note its not a movable CP) there will be a box (or whatever) where you can store your additional ammo. You can then top up the stuff you carry as required.

You will need to keep your ammo at the regen in a container you can identify as your own in some way. I'll probably keep mine in a 37 pattern small pack, with additional grenades that I don't want to carry, etc...

We're not going to be bagging up ammo for you, you'll have to sort out exactly how your going to do it yourself.

At the moment it looks like the Axis regen will probably be near or at the site carpark and safezone. However the allies will probably be out in the site somewhere... we don't want to say where yet! ;)
