So, after a very hectic few weeks and a whole heap of personal shit to deal with (ongoing), I thought I'd have a look here.

I've not had a proper look around yet, but Chomley tells me that I'm earmarked for the Dutch resistance.

Sounds interesting.

Anything else I need to know?

Welcome back Steve ! Things are progressing towards Arnhem nicely, the booking thread is filling up .
We been discussing the possiblity of involving Kermit as a Southern CiA person especially with the offer from Cracking Day on ASCUK, and trying to firm up a standard set of rules for kit and weapons.
Finally we're hoping that Chomley can arrange for us ot go to PU on the 25th Feb, partly for game meeting and also a bit of OPFOR duties .

25th sounds like a distinct possibility.

No problems with involving Kermit.

I'm not going to have too much time or money on my hands to get deeply involved but will be happy to help out whenever and where ever I can.

Happy to take some sort of command role on the day too.

Hi Steve, welcome back.

We thought you might want to play OSS so you can still be a yank at the event (the only one though!) . Be cool if you could be the link between UK and Dutch forces.

Ah ...in a pained sort of way .

Loved Secret Army , loathed Allo Allo .
Faintly remember the phrase "the Madonna with the big boobies" from those 'back to the 80's' programs you get.
I'm sure Rene was prosecuted for kiddie fiddling in the 90's as well , sorta confirmed my avoidance.

Sorry ........ I admit I am a snob

I seriously considerede 'allo allo' language rules.

i.e if you spoke in that accent it was that language and you had to pretend you didnt understand if you were of a different nation.. but its was just me being silly.

Now if someone can get me a a Helga for the event....

You could try and get Anne to switch sides, Barry seemed quite keen on the basque thing!
