Right, we appear to have a considerable pool of kitty funds.
I seriosuly think investing

I just want a go ahead from the rest of you and I'll get straight to it.

Personally I think this would be a poor use of resources.
We are not school boys blowing their pocket money - if we have cash left over then great, we roll it over to the next event, and the next and the next.
It will add nothing substantial to the event.

Much as i'm of the "blow the cash - have fun" brigade, I tend to agree with CW. Although a half-track would be awesome, it would come with two problems:
1: Players would concentrate around it, instead of sticking to their "assigned" roles
2: A lot of smaller props would add more atmosphere to more parts of the site.
Just my tuppence...

When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
Profit implies we are drawing an income - being not-for-profit doesn't mean you don't have any cash.
People have paid to attend the event, end of.
Agree prop storage would be a nightmare.
Please draw up a final list of signage required giving indication of sizes and I will make a costing - you might be surprised (which is why I ain't going to do it for free this time
)
Have decided on pyros? Mostly big smokes? What about big charges to blow the bridge?

Okay.... we need costings for what you're doing fair play there. We currently have no idea at all how much that will be. There are lists of what signs are needed... They're about as good as you're going to get...
We don't need any big bangs for blowing up the bridge (etc)... it doesn't get blown up.
In my eyes
Right, I'll have a stab at sizes of the (long) sign list as it stands and work out a cost.

Don't post anything openly yet please. It's not our money it's the players TBH. If it were me, I'd say if you're not going to spend it on the game then why charge extra for the game ? Lower the cost of the event if your desperate to get rid of it .
Do what TA do , find some vehicle owners , pay their expenses in exchange for them using the vehicles in game . A half track would be great , but it's a lot of cash for some eye candy although we would up the ante big style for any airsoft event .
We don't need
No... CW was pushing for the
So on the day the players are paying how much ?
BTW I don't think the six of us should pay , given the large amount of effort we're putting in . Even Gucci is coming as a guest !
Yes,

So they've paid
Good... starting to make sense
I have 4x 2watt comms units that we can use. They're programmed up to UK General UHF for which I have a license. If you add any extra radios in then we can have quite a good net. Thinking about it I could probably source another 2 radios...
I have noticed on Sabre Sales that they have a deal on WW2 signals bags with headset and mic for
Bloody hell, glad your not my wife Guy -

Bloody hell, glad your not my wife Guy -
Issues, not really Guy. It started off with others wanting to collect just a fiver off players with me pushing for double the cash so we are liberated.
OK, we are liberated and look like having

I didn't mean that as bad issues, it's just we're talking about bank accounts, accounts , and maybe putting CiA on a firmer basis than a "bunch of mates who do stuff" . I think we're all of a similar mind in the direction we're going , but suggest endless posting here will take a lot longer to have a debate than meeting up for a couple of hours.
BTW if we can use the 700 I'm game for it , it's better than handing it over to another site owner. If we roll some of it forward with a view to having a fecking amazing use for it later, or even propping up a lesser attended event I'm cool with that too .
Re cash flow, business plans and investment talk to the MBa mate , coz the MP40's not listening . ![]()

team meeting would be great.
Would Derby be the most central location for the majority?
We could maybe meet up in some pub on a sunday?
