I would greatly appreciate the use of a Zelt as a poncho on the game days to hide my Flecktarn top a fair bit and lack of equipment.
Are you going as Waffen SS or Heer (army) ? I can lend you some accoutrements as well: belt, Y-straps, breadbag, gaiters.

OK, well let me know nearer the time what you still need.

As WW2 airsoft goes I'm a virgin - played lots of open days and occasional mil-sim, be refreshing to know friend from foe from their uniform as soon as you see them though! I'm not a spray and pray type either (just as well looking at the ammo limits!) I'm glad we'll have clear cut objectives and leadership by sound of it too!
I'm sure I won't be the only one in this boat; really looking forward to the weekend and meeting you all now!
General, you sound just the type of guy who will enjoy it and get along fine mate.

Well yes. we are all here to enjoy ourselves.
The trick is to play to our strengths and therefore not have to not worry about our weaknesses. I think its pretty safe to say airsofters as a whole are a pretty unfit bunch at the best of times.
The one person who brags about the level of his fitness just happens to be the Allied commander. Which is a shame because if he is going to do any meaningful commanding he won't be running around much at all.
For those who haven't done WW2 before there is no need to stress. Its slower paced, more thoughtful and considered and has a simplicity that screams 1940s. Its all about getting into the zone, imagining you are part of a WW2 film at worst, imagining you are in northern France in 1944 at best.
Competitive? Well, that old cliche of 'its the taking part that counts' really is true - if you travel home with the best bits running through your head, and feel you have achieved something and have been stretched mentally and physically then I'll be happy and I know that's what Taffy wants too.
Oh, and there is no way those Yanks are going to win. ![]()

I'm a WW2 virgin also.
I am a bit concerned that I will let the side down as I am not the fittest bloke in the world and not a rush monkey tactics wise.
I am however a team player and will follow orders as given without hesitation.
I will give it my best and hope not to disapoint.
I do not know how competative these games are but I am here to enjoy myself and meet like minded people. I hope you will all give me a bit of leaway and consideration please!
Couldn't put it better on how I look at it too!
