I don't know how the rest of you guys are approaching this game, but the Hohenstaufen group are in the process of ordering rather a lot of TLFX pyros (understatement of the year!). Our tactics are revolving around the approach of "blow the crap out of everything" and our pockets and pouches will be bulging with grenades.
It's just that I've noticed that at many games, someone lobs 1 pyro in the general direction of the enemy and never follows it up. Our plan is to chuck 3 or 4 at them and then storm in with a mag of full auto, all done under the hail of fire from 2 MG42's. This should be very effective against a well dug in enemy. I hope that these blitzkrieg tactics will work! We did practice them recently and it went pretty well (after initial ghey grenade throwing). I know that we will have mortars in support also, so this may give us a pretty good edge when we're attacking.

Blitzkrieg is definitely the way forward and is our best chance of succeeding (with or without grenades). And if in defence, counter attack with the same ferocity. (Have noticed on previous games that defence is not our strongest strategy!)
The emphasis must be on the N.C.O.s to keep pushing people forward.

That brings back memories of A2C1....
Anyhow - Grenade rain sounds pretty audacious, but will we be close enough to use them? I can't remember the last time I saw someone effectively use a grenade in a game at a Woodland site, normally because the distances between players is too great for them to be of any consequence to the other side (admittedly, I've not seen the site, just going on previous experience).
MG's and Snipers would be spot on for this - who's bringing what?

Well, Hohenstaufen will have 150 or so grenades (and probably more!), plus smoke grenades for this, so, if nothing else, it will add to the atmosphere! It certainly can't do any harm to try and it should certainly surprise the allies, as this tactic hasn't been tried before, so, yes, it's pretty audacious but hey, that's me! Anything is better than a stand off fight with aeg's.
Obviously, if there are fuel dumps, we'll have to be a bit more careful where we chuck them.
