Can I just check, are you saying that there's no insurance in place for players?

As players are fee paying members of the public, they should be covered under your insurance...no?

in any activity like airsoft where some minor injury is part of the game then the only insurance you are covered for is stuff like a roof falling in on you or some such accident ,teeth getting shot out is never covered as eye injury would not unless you hired eye protection from the organizer .anybody telling you otherwise is misinformed im afraid.that's nothing specific to this event.

armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well

Mmm, I'm aware of that.

It's also worth noting that disclaimer forms aren't worth the paper they're written on.

It's the 'roof falling in' insurance cover that I'm concerned about.

ETA: I know also that AFRA insurance has some coverage included, but some of us aren't AFRA members.

I think we should all be issued with our own personal Health and Safety officer, who can do a full report on all intended actions prior to anything being done.

Simon is about to run to a tree - this will require a full H&S check to confirm the area between me and the tree is clear of obstacles and hazards, with a written report to Fritz prior to me actually doing any running and signed by him and the H&S officer, where upon an agreement will be reached upon a designated time for me to actual "run to the tree", this time must be no greater than 1 hour after the H&S check. Preferably I should be made to watch a video on "How to run to a tree...safely" and do a multipule choice exam to ensure i understood the video. All emergency services should be notified of the time and location of my "run to a tree".
To ensure proper legal disclaimer a lawyer should be present when I "run to a Tree" and video evidence take of the actual "run to a tree".

I think that should cover everything. cant be to careful you know. :giggle:

p.s If I, fall over, stub my toe, bang my head, twist my ankle etc etc - you all have official authorisation to piss yourselves laughing at me. if i am seriously hurt please could you help me first..........then laugh at me.

Which would of course be fine if every potential litigant were as forgiving as you...

As my grandpaw used to say: "It's all fine until it isn't, then you're fucked"

Oh and our bunkers are re-inforced up the yang and have been inspected by the local planning dept too so they will not fall on your head

I do hope you mean Building Control? Planning offices don't generally know anything about structural integrity unless it does fall on their head :slap:

RETIRED, thanks for some truly memorable times and great people

Does anyone happen to have any spare specs I could borrow tomorrow? Mine are currently inaccessable and I only have a dark pair with me which will probably be more of hazard this time of year.
