Just make sure it's really thick, oily vodka, and none of your flavoured rubbish!

Ought to warn everyone , that as this is the first ever event being run on this prime bit of woodland, it is likely that the FC will have someone present for the whole of it , and obviously we are keen not to fuck it up for IED who will be looking to use it going forward . The FC have also have a problem with the odd rave on site, so this is a sensitive area for them .

"Airsofting" as a whole will be judged by what goes on, so drunken piss up is not the order of the day , few gentle beers (cans carefully taken home with you) could be doable.

Its taken a lot of pleading to get this awesome site, both CiA with IED, and IED with FC, so we need to tread softly peeps .

[mum mode on]
Sounds good, from a previous event held in a simliar site, can we state now (I'll bleat it lots til the event) that people think sensible for kit ;) full gubbins looks good but if your treking about it really isn't necessary to have mess tins and e-tools ;) .

REMEMBER FOOD, WATER (something to carry it in ;) ), AND A TENT :D as those were the most forgotton things at Churchills  A change of clothes for something dry is also a good idea as are a spare pair of boots ;) .

Other than that from IED feedback elsewhere, I remember comments about litter being mentioned, PLEASE take home everything you take with you, wrappers the lot ;)

[/mode mom off]

Sounds like a damn fine excuse to me to up the training this year, how many miles can I walk in my garage huh :?

Em my possible interest has been revoked - wouldn't want FC, IED after me for going to my tent to late.

since it is sensitive times for the site.

Actually, it may be the big fold-up and move time of 2008 for me, so i'll maybe turn up with Tea,coffee and shortbread for the 'half-time' cool down

Don't forget Mum will be waiting up for you too - get to bed on time else you might be grounded for a week!

Heh, as I recall, everyone was perfectly behaved at Churchills (bar one bag of rubbbish accidently left behind) so if we can aim for that, all will be cool.

@ Steve - cars will be parked nearer the entrance to the site, bodies and kit will be trucked down to the camp area (the roads aren't suitable for non-utility vehicles).

The crutial issue is even sides - this will be the major controlling factor in overall game numbers. But this will never be a 200 player game, it's not CiA's style!

We are looking to fill the first 15 places a side anyway - then we will look to 20.

Ooo It WAS near the Cantlin Stone. I thought I recognised the place.
(1600s peddlers body found near there after trying to cross the hills for the Christmas Fair and getting caught in snow. Stone errected for some bizarre reason - Something about not sure which parish to bury him in etc etc))

Little bit of local history for you :)

No longer involved in airsoft.
