I'll have to check my sat nav when I get home - see which route it's advising. Anything 'oop north' it usually advises me to go near Ox, but I think it's suggesting the tortuous Salisbury Plain route.

Fastest route for me is (apparently) via Swindon, then onto Marlborough, etc.

We're coming from Essex but our car will be jam packed with us, Pete59, two tents etc etc.
