I presume you have asked the Cornish lot? I shall ask my lift as he is probably the best hope of someone coming from the west, will message him on facebook when I get home from work. Failing that, my experience tells me that there is a very good pub opposite Botley Station, ideal for meeting people at and close to the site

I'll be traveling from Ringwood on the morning, where abouts would you want picking up from?
I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.
That sounds like a better plan, unless you want to get to the social.
Cheers Bootedfeet, I can meet you wherever it's convenient! I'm staying with friends near the Red Shoot pub if you know where that is?

I do indeed know it, my sister used to work there, closer to the town is better for me but I understand you're on your feet, don't mind swinging around to the shoot to pick you up

The eve of battle is fast approaching folks, mind you I wonder how many will be too hung over from the Friday night hehe
I won't lie, the main reason I am getting excited is the item Dadio is bringing me. I just cannot wait to get my hands on the Owen gun after all this time
Just checked the weather forecast and it's not too bad, bit of light rain early morning and then dry-ish until teatime. I can live with that as a bit of rain is preferable to a very cold night.
Just need to stock up on beer, charge batteries and get a few essentials and I will be ready to go.
I am getting very excited not long now people. I will be there from Friday with Stephen ( Rabbitspacker) starting to sort the props and bits out. And just as a heads up I am a real medical doctor and if any of you have any medical problems like diabetes or asthma please let me know if you feel unwell. If you with to PM me that is also cool. I am looking forward to seeing you all. Doc Steve
Weather keeps changing daily, looks like some rain Saturday, bring those extra clothes and black plastic bags to keep the items you leave at your base dry .

Except the Germans. They may have discovered Polythene but Only the British and Americans knew how to produce it during WW2. It would therefore be considered historically inaccurate for any Germans to keep their gear dry
Unfortunately these are the sacrifices you have to make for historical accuracy. Enjoy your soggy schnitzel fritz!
Germans do not need plastic bags, their base has a roof
Really excited for this one! Is there any issue with me using a post-war zelt if the rain is particularly bad? Unless of course somebody is looking to sell a splinter zelt in which case I may be in the market...
Wake up there, Muttley, you're dreaming again!
You're not Robin Hood and you're not Gunga Din.
You're not a brave knight or a king who's been crowned;
You're just plain old Muttley, the snickering hound!
So much to prepare ! My list of weapons I'm bringing is the biggest yet ,
1 kar98
2 mp40's
1 mp44
1 zib

i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
