Here's an idea....just an idea mind.
Taffy has airsoft insurance that covers his games for ANY site in the UK. Be it Forestry Commission or whatever.
If we can't work things out with F&O or another site owner, could it be an opportunity to find a site of some sort and work it through Ex-Site's insurance?
Taffy's been desperate to do more with us. If we were to source the site, we could propose it to Taffy, run it through his insurance and split the 'profits' 50/50, after site payment. With the right site, and 50 players at £45 we could take £2250. Pay the site £10-£20 per head and walk away with the rest.
Might be too much work for this year, but perhaps next year we could sort something.
Given the hassle Guy has had with the FC I would say it's impossible to do anything at short notice with the FC (less than four months!) but that's not to say it can't be done with other land owners. So, next year maybe - it would take some of the hassle out if Taffy did the site negotiations...
Well, there's the rub.
Doing what I do, I run a database full of very interesting properties where people might like a little bit of cash on the side for the use of their land, so I could have a good look through.
The biggest implication would be risk assessment and management, but that's Kermit's area of expertise!
