Instead of fitting to the yoke, they have a simple belt loop and slide on/around the belt. Originally designed for drivers (hence MT) to carry mags without the embuggerance of the yoke/standard pouches, although normally only 1 was carried, not a pair.
However, they were used by SAS, and whoever else could get hold of them, as they were that much more comfortable. They'll carry 6x 9mm mags or 4x Tommy mags.
