What type of spittle?

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Urquhart was one of the military consultants for A Bridge Too Far, where he showed the shocking tendency of veterans to ignore authenticity to get the job done. More proof, re-enactors nitpick more than veterans!
While a fantastic film ABTF is fantastically creative to 'railway event' standards at times to meet budget constraints... great examples are the 'Panther' that traps urquhart and co thats from memory an M48 or Leopard I, the fact the whole SS unit have smocks made out of swiss groundsheets and their 'armour' is a fantastic mix of lash ups that would put even the A-team to shame.
If you want the best film of the battle for Arnhem watch 'Theirs is the Glory' which is not only shot in 1945/46 using nothing but original kit (inlcuding panthers and tigers) bt is 'acted' purely by surviving veterans of the operation whose 'lines' are actually what they claim they said at the time.
Awesome film, i'd offer to lend you my copy but someones got it already and I cant remember who!
While both are to a degree 'propaganda' one of the two wasnt trying to fill cinemas quite so badly and appeal to an American film audience, hence one of the two tends to be a tad more accurate...
You dont see *many* germans in TITG though but to be fair it's more about the 1st Airborne Division than anyone else so you tend to see them shooting at targets a few hundred metres away. The bit where they knock out the panthers and tigers with PIAT and 6pdrs is pretty cool though.
