In my exploration of all things Blanco I came across a new forum set up by Jerry Lee (WPG) who has a picture of the sort of kit that was used, still in use today by his Indian repro webbing supplier.

There was a big hoo-ha last year when it was discovered that the big cast iron Con Edison manhole covers that are all over New York City, are made in an Indian foundry with zero H&S.
Cue lots of ranting about expoliting third world workers. It was then explained that the City had a legal obligation to buy from the cheapest supplier, whoever that might be, and that ethical decisions should not play a part in purchasing decisions. Don'cha just love capitalisism
