I'm planning on driving from Chesterfield on the Saturday morning so as to reduce the number of nights that I'm away from my family!

No longer involved in airsoft.

 We have a winner of the "dodgiest double entendre" competition!

Anyhoo, back to the topic. Luxury is a relative thing. I've spent some truly shitty (-15C ambient, 70MPH wind) nights out on the Scottish mountains in the middle of winter. Under a Zelt in a Welsh woods in the middle of summer is luxury by comparison! Just take the anti-midge spray....

When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

after a little chat with craig we may well drive up the day before if camping on site the night befores on offer or if a large chunk are booking up in the travel lodge. personally I'd prefer the camping as its a good laugh

Anyone want me to bring up some some thatchers farmhouse cider? :P

so what time are we allowed on site to camp on the friday? also will there be a firing area setup to allow us to test fire etc?

I only ask as I wont have anywhere long enough to zero my sniper rifle before coming up :)

Friday night after 5 should be fine .

I'm sure we can find somewhere on site (700acres) for you to zero in .

I wouldn't bother with the cider / other booze . It does'nt make for good airsofting with a hangover or dehydration.

haha OK fair enough. sounds like some of you suffered last time from the "night before booze up". Is it ok to cook on site via a little stove or portable bbq?

Ok thanks :) just wanted to make sure I wasnt going to do anything I shouldnt. I know some sites prefer you not to bring stuff like that when I've been to other events

My view on the matter is simple, if the site provides reasonable grub then I wont take a burner, If not, and if their isnt a pub/cafe in a reasonable distance, then Im taking a burner or disposable BBQ, if they have a problem with me cooking on their site, they should provide an alternative.

On a recent visit to Gunman I took my burner and started cooking my breakfast as the young lady arived and started up the burger stand. Oooops.

The room I booked is looking to be up for grabs - since a fair few folks are gonna be at the site from Friday I will prolly be there also.

Anne & Barrie - if you want the family room it's yours, I cant get a refund, it's already paid for.

if A& B don't want it it's up for first grabs, i think I'll prolly have to 'sign' for it but i am planning on being in the area mid-afternoon.
