Call me old fashioned but I can't get the sums to work.
Why play a game to raise money for charity at the most expensive venue we have ever entertained the hire of?!!
£3,200 is the cost to hire the site. If we make any less than that the charity loses money - what would be the point in that?
An expensive game is going to need more than a good site to make it work. Signage, pyro will add to the cost. Say £3,500 total break-even.
How much would we plan on raising for the charity? £1,000?
Totals £4,500
50 paying punters = £90 per head
70 paying punters = £64 per head
90 paying punters = £50 per head
Given we weren't turning players away at £45 per head for Husky I really can't see this is going to work at all.

Huh? Thought we'd agreed it was a no-goer at the weekend anyway. Or are you talking about the possibility of doing it next year?
S

Yes, sorry - next year...

A better idea would be to find a philanthropic site owner who'd do it for free, charge £50 and take nothing for CiA apart from game costs.
Could easily make £2k that way.

Can't help but agree...

Yes...I did suggest to Steve that he'd be better off running a BHD blatfest for £85 head ...more numbers .
I'll have a chat to Dan Breen who's also involved with this . I must admit I thought the LR thing was happening this year not next . I'll find out more and report back
