heh... cheats...
1. find a good site
2. ignore them and just enjoy
Still cant afford

"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
yup... I know...
Whilst I respect your choices... I do think its a shame you guys feel this way.
This is for one reason...
- Turning up to Open Days in your WW2 kit is the BEST way to progress WW2 airsoft.
I totally agree, and hopefully will try to get to Guccis new site in kit at least once this summer.
Problem I have is that I go to IED once a month with the Sdn already , plus WWII games gives about 16 dates a year , which is more than the once a month I promised our lass, esp since it's mainly 24-36 hour do's at IED. Oh yeah and then the off roading trips too . ![]()
And I still haven't been to Seans since it became SYA
Too many sites not enough time !
Right are the rules currently up in th egunamn section the ones post discussion and seeing our recommendations?
Cos i see that only the golden comeback has actually left the building.
Everything else seems the same, genuinely keen to see how it works, dont think i can make this one though, but lok forwards to the feedback..

"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
Yes, I don't know why he hasn't taken on board our final rules. Need to fix up a meeting with him - Guy and me were talking about this today. I am assuming he is having a final flurry before he belts off to Beltring. I can't get there - Richard won't be interested in talking to him but would you have time to touch base Kermit for 5 minutes? I'm happy to have a face to face meeting when I get back off holiday as will Guy...

Yes i'm happy to speak to whoever.
Dont get me wrong i think the event has potential as you say but as it stands it looks like a nightmare still.
Especially as its now being perceived as a CIA evnet which is quite frankly isnt even remotely at the mo.

"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
Hehe, I didn't say it was a nightmare! Not overly bothered at the mo, glad chaps are interested...

It'll be like all events, most won't listen to the rules, some will forget and the rest ignore. If he gets the numbers he's hoping for and some good weather it should pan out ok .
To be honest there are a few good things I've heard so far...
- Live band at the "training" events.
- Showers and toilets at the site
Still not enough to tempt me though.
This is partly the reason I want ot go and see the site and also his store of goodies. My suspicion is he's good at events, he just needs a few nudges ot make the change ot airsofty events, although Kermit tells me his games have a good reputation .
We need ot get him away from focusing on the rules and more towards the plot and gameplay .
Anyone fancy a Pont du Hoc subplot?
Not really sure about the logistics of some of these rules.
a couple of queries:
1. helmet hits don't count. what's to stop people poking their gun and head over/around a wall and just spraying ammo at anything that moves? effectively they're indestructable and unsupressable if they're wearing a helmet!
2. Engineers paintball usage. Who's paying for my replacement ww2 kit/webbing when i get hit with brightly coloured paint if i'm inb a vehicle? And before anyone says it's water-based, i used to do paintball, and that crap doesn't come out of most fabrics/webbing
the first problem just seems counter-intuitive, the second downright wrong.
Think i'll be giving this one a miss, myself.
As these rule have kind of been discussed and dealt with on here, but not confirmed with Josh, I just want to check what the policy is with responding to these posts...

I would suggest "all to be confirmed " nearer the date .
Aye, let that post ride as they are valid points..
BTW, Josh says he use the paintball bazooka at his airsoft games every week with out problems! To be fair, their use is very restricted to just the 'engineers' and their only target is the truck wheels.
Sheesh, I got more stains from the berries on Gucci's site on Saturday than on the Hilton site on the training day (paintball site)!

oops already replied .
Don't matter - just didn't want to get into a ding-dong at this stage, that's all.

Nope he's made his point and said he's not coming , not worth arguing to change his mind .
Heh, I knew it!
No point in argueing rules on the open D-Day thread H/S, just makes us look weak - let Guy sort it next week then we can be definitive.

Crap! Though I clicked cancel. I typed it then had second thoughts. Sorreh. I went out to get some food straight after.
Have you deleted the posts? (Good!) Who responded and how?

I did , i told him ot stop whining ![]()
