Well some enjoy themselves  you'll not know who didn't until months after the event when they decide in boredom one day to have a pop.... much like the re-enactors

S'alright nelz....just sticking up for the Allied contingent on here. They all play very fairly as I've seen from being stood next to them. No offence taken, just didn't want people to get tarred with the wrong brush.

Right, so far the score for our events stands at:

Allied - 2
Axis - 1

If the Axis take Wotan, it could line it up for a neat 'decider' match at D-Day to round off our first year of events!

Aliied 2 ?????????

i make it a draw so far, arnhem was called off early due to the impaled chav.

that last 20 minuites we were just about to roll the allies up :raspberry: :rasp: :raspberry:

The thieving, scummy, chav, pikey, inbred, cretinous, mentally-deficient twat who decided to try and break into the site whilst we we're playing there.

Should have left the little sod there, and taken turns giving him a shoeing

Arnhem was a win for the allies as virtually none of the objective cards were in german hands and the bridge (the prize) was most certainly in allied hands at the end of the engagement.

The bridge wasn't an objective in the afternoon, Gadge...

I think that's what Porta is on about... The Germans were about to take it when endex was called... they had misunderstood the afternoon briefing in some way.

No but what i mean is that with the start of the day binegh a clear allied win the gemrans had to have a clear afternoon win to draw, even with 20 mins extra that would not have happened as their were objective markers all over the side in allied hands.

Thats what i meant.

But alas, Yanks being Yanks, never go down !! Just hope the marshals are on the ball and unbiased !!

:?

Definately feel somewhat stereotyped here... not seen anybody doing foul play on either the US, Brit or Germans!

The Allies deffo won Arnhem, my  was how the Axis could allow such a reversal of history
The intruder incident called the game 1/2 hour early, but the Germans had secured very few of the major objectives and def not the bridge .

mmm.... maybe we Axis need a more aggressive game play.?

Remember the standard inclusion to any German offensive, is ,...Aggression !! coupled with speed, whenever possible.

A firm leader, who can orchestrate his troops, and make quick decisions in the field, will help to win our objectives. 8)

I take it we do have group/unit leaders on each side, in the field.

I suppose they will be in the middle of , " as near as it gets " , ...the fist twenty minutes of, Saving Private Ryan........ Poor f#####s !!...probably with no cover too !!

Plenty of BB whistling past there ears !!

They will need full body armor, ... not just goggles !!

Sorry to be a party pooper but as a veteran beachside kite flyer I can confidently predict the wind will be coming off the sea. That is, into your faces. Also bear in mind it will be November, and probably pretty windy. I estimate the effective range for your pellets to be slightly under 10m, whilst ours will be correspondingly greater.

Of course, you might even manage to site your mgs correctly and cover the beach in enfilade in which case you won't be shooting directly into the wind. Unfortunately in that case your pellets trajectory will be so curved you still won't be able to hit us.

Hence no body armour required, we're just going to walk through your mini Atlantic Wall.

You underestimate the ability of being able to compensate for wind effecting the trajectory,.. it can also be used to our advantage. I will not enlighten you how, possibly you can figure it out yourselves, but beware, we have considered how the potential elements on the day may effect us, including introducing tactics not yet adopted within most airsoft game plans . Wind direction off the sea, will not direct your fire in a straight line either, possibly a longer distance, but as soon as it leaves your barrel, the wind will begin to take control of it's path. Our observer will monitor your incoming and constantly advise us of it's accuracy. We can observe much easier than you in a defence role, under cover, as apposed to yourselves, attacking on an open beach. Yes the opening moments will be very decisive, the weather will play it's part, but , to win or loose, can be down to ,good or bad, preparation and leadership. Let the best team ,win the beach on the day.

Our heckling has got you thinking tactics, which is good , makes for a better battle.

Thinking about it, it was amazing how the fortunes of the Axis team had improved once we made the overnighter a dry event! I think the influence of alcohol the night before may have been responsible for such vast losses at previous games.
