Can we ask campers that unless you have been asked to arrive early to help with the site set up, then please do not arrive before 17:00.

Can we also request that players stick to the designated camping area and do not go off and explore the site - we don't want people to see some of the surprises we have in store before game on, on the Saturday.

Where will the camping area be? Around the perimeter somewhere as we aren't using the middle bit?

It may be in the centre area, but we are investigating another option as we'd ideally like to keep the middle clear...

Wherever camping will be on the site, it will be in the game area - so we will need everyone to have their tents down before the game begins on Saturday morning.

I know I said I could come early and help out but as it's my first ww2 type event is it OK if I just turn up and play? The lack of camping facilities plus getting it all down in the morning is a problem for this old man!

I can't help feeling I am going to end up a regular with you guys (fingers crossed) but for this one

PS what time do we need to be there for the briefing?

Arriving on the day is fine Paule ,I think we'll plan the briefing for 9ish so try to be on site and kitted up before then as we will want to start the event shortly after the briefing .

I'll be coming up on Friday and camping (or sleeping in the car!)

Lutz will the gate be locked early on Saturday morning or is it only locked when a game is on. I ask as about 6am sat I intend to go to the Golden Arches restaurant for a Mc Sh*t and don`t want to be messing around trying to get out like we were at Kasserine

Well, ready as I ever am. Batteries charged, found the tent, aired my sleeping bag after my youngest daughters trip to Reading Festival a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully won't leave my tunic behind and packed a bog roll!. Off to Sainsburys for some grub and beers tomorrow morning. See the Friday nighters tomorrow late afternoon. Just to confirm I will be bringing a spade and a pair of windbreaks for some very basic privacy for those who need a toilet break of the No 2 variety ,please be tidy as I really only wish to fill in hole in the ground after the event ,not clean up after some intoxicated fool who makes a mess or pisses on the wind breaks .
