That's great Marsha, we like M1 rifles. I will be ordering mine in a couple of weeks. How long did yours take to arrive from Warren?

I think this is a nice time to run down what people have as weapons.

[edit] I do have an S&WM10, which I forgot was American.

I have nothing [else] American at the moment, and will be unlikely to get the Garand in time for the training day, though I should have it for St Lo.

Lipton (as he is nearly, but not quite, here yet) has an M1 Garand and a Thompson

Okay... it's reserved for you.

It comes with a load of shells and stripper clips and doesn't shoot very well.

Oh and the ball on the cocking handle has fallen off... I have it, it just needs glueing on.

Great. I can have one conversation with Lip here, and another one with him sat on the sofa 2 feet away. Like a school child texting their friend on the same canteen bench... Like they used to do when I was at school and mobiles were new and cool.

We both have Garand look-a-likes.

Does Warren's M1 now come with a wooden stock?

I'm so old. :| Christ, when I was at school, the latest crazes were mis-matched fluorescent socks, Rebound (remember that?) and Astro Wars.

I sourced my wooden parts off ebay, since warren made the resin moulds from my Marushin M1, the real furniture go straight on

That applies to the front wood, but not the actual stock itself.
