I've just remembered something I've been meaning to ask for a while. Whats the correct thing to do with the laces/cords at the bottom of the jump trousers? Mine kept coming loose at Hurtgen.

Pistol holsters.... I've got a P38 holster from Warren, exhibit A:

As you can see, the belt loop is a hinged flap, which I would normally have down, so the holster sits high and on the belt line. However, due to the weight of the belt order, I put the flap up in order to attach the Y-straps to the D ring. However, I'm not sure it really looks correct hanging that low. :? Does anyone have a holster with a D-ring on it?

I used to use one of those post war ones - started off with the flap up and the y straps attached to the d-ring which 'worked' well but of course looks wrong. I then rivited the flap down and just ran the belt through it. Finally bought a 'proper' repro one 'cos I got fed up threading the retaining strap through the metal hoop ...

CW, to confirm then - does the one you have now have a D-ring?

If you want a bandolier that doesn't require altering to fit tanaka mags speak to Major. He has one that fits them sideways rather than removing the stitching so the fit vertically but I don't know where he got it.
