looks really good only one thing.... its too clean :good:
how heavy is it?

It will get dirty as soon as it's finished and ready do to 'its job' ;)

Currently it is 5kg's. And I guess with the radio and all paint on it it will be around 6kg. The 'real deal' one is 18kg....

With an A-frame attached the weight will be ofcourse more. And the A-frame 'attachment' is a war-time periode-correct option.

Indeed. We are still playing airsoft and (for me) I am not real soldier.

So, I continued some weeks ago but forgot to post an update.

White 'ground' paint.

Just painted (and thus a bit shimmering)

Current status:

With A-frame attached:

Still todo:
- repaint it with another layer (only one layer applied)
- figure out how I am going to do the 'microphone'. Making one myself, or using a modern-throat-mic (which is historic correct as they used throatmics with these radios back-then).

Thanks for the heads-up. After May 26th I will have some in-game pictures of the radio ;)

And the last layer of paint:

Now it has to dry and then I will re-attached all the small stuff. On the pictures it is still wet on some spots. But it looks damn good :happyclap:

And for the ones who don't know how 'the real deal' looks, it's like this:

Used the radio in-game yesterday during one of our skirms. Not much problems when carrying it at my back, only some minor muscle pain (myalgia) in my shoulders.

Only thing left is to make the control-box to hide my PTT button in.
