The cheapest are the SoF ones (thats got to be the FIRST time ive ever used "Cheapest" and "SoF" in the same sentence) However, there are a few comments on some of the re-enactment forums about their accuracy.

Havent seen any of the Swedish ones for sale for a bit though.

I got some from ebay.de - the link was on a thread, but it got deleted in a "clear up". I can't browse ebay here at work, but I'll post it up tonight. They were £80 including postage. Very comfortable and look good - just add some leather laces and wax them for that dirty brown look.

The ATF, SoF and Richard Underwoods cheaper repros are the same boot.
I own the ATF version, and have seen and handled the other two. Soles not pegged, aluminium horse shoe on heel[not a true horse shoe either], studs have 2 prongs, no toe plates. 6 eyelet holes, pale leather and a very comfortable boot.
I've had mine over 3 years, they shed studs, what boots dont, I've added toe plates and leather laces. I used leather dye to turn them black and they have been my battling boots for 2 years.
Well worth £70 odd quid,
Swede boots have a rather square toe, not right for WW2 german inf though you might pass them off for gebirgs? I've a good condition pair size 11 if anyone fancies them? £20 +p+p?

Read somewhere that Swedish ankle boots are a fair representation of the original German low cut boot and are readily available quite cheaply.

I think Kermit said that the old British issue 'high leg' comabt boot (not the assault boots with speed lacing) is a dead ringer (apart form the sole) if you cut the tops down with a stanley knife.

Lets not forget RN deck boots, the bastion of german re-enacting footwear. Very good shape for german boots, leather has a light pebbling which can be reduced more, heel irons and toe plates, leather sole, popular with armour crews. Just add studs for the foot sloggers. getting thin on the ground but I got a pair last year in size 11 for £10.

Very nice boots at a very nice price but my money is on them being Czech-if German WW2 then you could have added another 0 to the price :)

We're not reenactors on this site, not many stitch nazis here, except Steiner who likes wearing his jackboots in the bath, we've only been going a year and in that time people have made some great advances, cut down Brit' high legs are fine for what we do, stomping around in the woods shooting each other, its not like we go to public displays and get scrutinized by vets or anything. Perhaps in a couple of years the authenticity standards might get cranked up a bit, but for the moment they'll do fine for anyone wanting to put a basic loadout together and do airsoft in them!

No you wont, next event you visit just look at what the average german re-enactor wairs on his feet.
The advent of the cheaper low boots from Sof and RAU has just started to impact but take a look. All sorts of stuff trying to pass as low boots, and most dont grumble. Almost anything without a toe cap gets used.
There were I'd say at least 3 pairs of deck boots in the beer tent on one night at beltring. Folks save their best for then.
