I would surmise he's a veteran - the GD was not made a division until later on in the war, and I believe all those photos are '42 onwards.

I like the guy with all the egg grenades hanging from his KAR pouches!

Also, almost all the panzer guys have those side caps (M35?), which look dead smart, I have to say. 8)

Excellent pics, Interesting that in the first pic, the officer leading the column has MP40 pouches but is carrying a kar98!

Is the guy in the last pic with the egg grenades one of the Wurzels??! :D

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

makes sense really, take a k98 of o dead / wounded guy, you only need the rifle and a few clips, for long range, not too much extra to carry

I find if taking a picture the use of a camera is most crucial  take it you got no scanner ?

To get rid of flash you need to use natural lighting or house light (ceiling) rather than the flash. You can change the colour depth even in b & w (increase lighting on pix) using irfan/psp and other such programmes ;)

I agree unfortunatley cos of a lot of goth/darkwave/ industrial bands imagery in the past we ty to steer away form germanc imagery.

Check out 'Death in June' for how to stir up a shitstorm, despite being composed of both Gay and jewish members they get no end of flak for being nazis.

I love death in june but i'm wary wearing their shirts.

i've got about about a dozen DiJ and feindflug shirts, and i've never had any hassle through them.

of course, even though they're not nazi's, i still wouldn't wear them to a barmitzvah, but you know.... :D
