I've had enough of sweating my way through a summers airsofting in woolen uniforms and decided to invest in a set of HBTs, I'm on a budget so dont want to buy the wrong kit.
Epic supply this one http://www.epicmilitaria.com/product.ph ... ill-jacket

Militaria net supply this one http://militaria-net.co.uk/oscommerce/c ... p-896.html

Both are listed as heiingbone twill yet they are totally different in cut. I'm after whichever is best for a generic summer infantry uniform but dont want to spend all this money on the wrong type. I would welcome opinions and thoughts please,

HBT had different variations in tailoring over time - same as the wool tunics. The Epic one looks like it's been mis-labelled as it looks more like an M43 cut.

Check out the ones on HiKi - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/HIKISHOP/field ... 34.c0.m322

Keith's stuff is generally highly rated and they're cheap too.

Hiki stuff is cheap and cheerful. Dont expect it to last for ever.
Dont get me wrong, it's not bad stuff, not bad at all.
Their German wool tunics can be long in the skirt and sleeve and trousers low at the waist. How that translates depends on how tall you are and your build.
On HBT topics I'd avoid sets with white stitching, not a feature of the originals.

Thanks for the advice, and I agree the white stitching doesn't look great. Cheap and cheerful will suffice for this year I'm sure.

Ah, good to know - I always thought it looked dreadful! Fortunately, mine doesn't have it. :)
