Well, you have asked and received the opinions of people with experience. I don't think there's anything else we can add.

I would buy a uniform from GM straight away, but with them not being UK based it makes it difficult if I have any problems.

What problems do you envisage?
Have yourself measured by a professional and send those with your order.
What level of service do you expect from a tat selling box shifter?

To be fair, putting service and tat to one side, many more rights when buying from a UK retailer esp. an Ebay seller keen on a good reputation - a complaint to Paypal is a nightmare for a retailer. Add to that the distance selling laws and you can pretty much ask for a refund if it doesn't fit or you don't like it. Even if an overseas retailers plays ball with replacement or refund then there will be some hefty postage to pay both ways. That and the import charges - it does make sense to buy in the UK wherever possible, all things being equal.

To be honest, I think the deal is already done as E-J seems determined to buy from this chap and since the primary issue is the need to buy right now and with a very limited budget and longevity not a priority.

Still, some secondhand kit going in the For Sale section where you get a lot more for your money...

The name of the website is MilitariaOnline.

Pretty sure that isn't their website - either that is their supplier who drop ship (eek, no address, email or even telephone number) or the website they stole the photo from! As said before, that ebay seller sells handbags and fashion jewellery - they are not a militaria specialist, just shift cheap random tat.

I don't care if you buy from Gavin Militaria or not, but surely anybody who buys from this seller that you keep on mentioning, after all the information supplied, is ignoring good advice given.
