I have some rather good bandage wrappers which I made myself all you need to do is get a bandage wrap it in brown paper and then put my label on it. I may have some other labels which you could use as well. Drop me a PM if required.

If you look on the various re-enactment and historical forums they have lots of information regarding Sani's.

The leather Sani pouches had labels detailing the contents that should be in there. However, in time of battle depending on supply limitations anything viable can be used as a bandage and wouldn't be incorrect to have in your pouch/rucksac or whatever extra carrying capcity that you may have aquired.

I guess it's whether you want to have everything by the 'textbook' or 8 days of hell contents.

I have a mismatched pair of Sani Left and Right's Dated 1940 and 1941. The 1940 has it's correct sectioned liner and label. The right one has no label or liner. I have a vew original badages and other items - no where near what should be in them unfortunately.

rizzo - I have a series of storage bins, storage units, wardrobes and floor space (here and there round my house) which has WWII related items.

Some nice original items that I have gathered and also some reproduction items. I'm trying to build a Barrack Room rifle rack for my K98k's, decide what paint job to finish my Fusprech F in. I even have original Gasmask shape retainers lol

I collect various items which enables me to be a Heer Soldier, a Waffen SS Soldier, a Fallschirmjager, a Sani or something else. I have pioneer items, NCO items and a collection of original Rucksacks/backpacks. I also have some early post-war items too.

As for the sani pouches and waterbottle being up for sale - hmm I tend to lend out kit to those that need it for their position in our displays, so at this time - no.

I may decide to sell some of my collection in the future. I can PM you if your interested?

Del

Just one more question, i have a german red cross armband. its a tad too large to fit on my arm or even...stay up the sleeve.

how would they have gone about making the armbands shorter?

By "german red cross" armband, do you mean it has Deutsches Rotes Kreuz written on it? If so then it's meant for nurses in field hospitals and is not suitable for a combat medic impression.

The plain red cross is what you need. Armbands need to be pinned or tack stitched on, otherwise they will invariably fall off.
