Sounds very interesting - and pretty accurate as well, as things like helmet covers and smocks were made from exactly the same fabric as used in the Zelt's

IIRC, the only smocks that had a cagoule style pocket (or pockets) on the chest are the Gebirgsjager style Anoraks, but i've only ever seen them in Grey or Splinter A. I've seen Heer smocks in Tan & Water, but they didn't have pockets on them, just vertical slits so you could get to the pockets on your service tunic underneath the smock.

The BGS zelt is nothing like the right pattern or colours for a wartime smock. It does rather seem like a waste of what are starting to be hard to find zelts. I know thats not of major importance to the airsoft world, but you could be costing yourself money.
I bought 3 of the early post war zelts to make a smock as used in A Bridge too Far, they cost nothing. I never got around to it, now they fetch good money.
It's your call but an original bit of kit is always of more use and value than a homemade fantasy piece.

Can you get it onto your computer, or onto a hosting website?
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Looks like a good start to me! - Going to do a matching helmet cover as well?

Sumpfmuster helmet covers are almost unknown, the one I've heard of was reported as a local/field made affair found in a jacket pocket.
If you really believe that BGS and sumpf are the same in any way I think you need to find better reference material, they are the same in the same way DPM, Woodland and the French camo are the same. The colours, shapes and pattern are all different. The BGS obviously takes it's inspiration from the sumpfmuster. I applaud your efforts in manufacture but would it not be better channeled into creating an accurate replica.
Ok we are talking airsoft, so near enough is good enough, all efforts to promote the hobby are to be encouraged, but it does not change the truth. There were no sumf helmet covers [nor pea dot helmet covers] though BGS was made into helmet covers which can be picked up cheapish, bgs and sumpf are not the same.

Wind your neck in Poacher, if Doktor wants to knock a couple of old Zelts into something more useful then it's his call . This is airsoft, not stitchnazi central .As my mum used to say If you can't add anything constructive then don't add anything at all .
