Hi, I have a feldgrau M36 German uniform, possibly badged as Heer PanzerGrenadeer but I am not sure.

Its definately Grey with green eagle and shoulder boards... clueless

If the Waffenfarbe is mid green it could be either PG or Jäger. If you fancy joining the Jäger Regiment, just get the Jäger armbadge and you're in!

Well yes, and I would have said yes in an instance if it wasn't for the damned scenario, forces list and me taking the badges off already ready for ss rebadging....damn.

But seriously, I prefer basic Heer (and I thought Landser would be their group) so are there any more want to just be Heer apart from me, B&H and Der Alte? We really need a mob to make it look worth while? Bit like PBI for the challenged...

Well like I said in my list I'm putting together a basic infantry impression. I just need a tunic and some headgear to do it so I thought why not?! I will probably also get jackboots so I can use it for an early war impression should there be a suitable scenario. My main intention is to use it at the E&E game as a garrison soldier.

Yes, I understand that but where I am coming from is GD - elite, Jager - elite, me not elite so it feels a bit daft putting the extra cuff title on or arm badge plus it cuts down a bit on just being a German in any generic scenario because there' always the 'GD weren't there' comment, etc.

I don't have a clue about any of this really (like wat Jagers actually did and where) which is why a generic Panzer Grenadeer was what I was after.

I don't know the answer to this as it is sort of a German equivalent to PBI but just an infantry unit rather than anything special?

Would people turn up in Heer stuff (limited camo if at all) and do a garrison, if so how many? Does the Jager fulfill this, would they be kicking their heels in some barracks somewhere?

Jäger units were on all fronts, and usually converted from other units. Like every other Heer unit, camo was pretty much limited to the splinter Zeltbahn. Feldgrau is the camo!
