Cruising for helmet decals for my new helmet, and came across this Slovak site selling 'aged decals', which look amazing. Ordered Heer national and eagle.

Found another site which may be of interest. This one sells aged helmet decals, worth having a look. You can find them at http://www.fallschrimjager.biz

I bought an aged SS decal £3.50 + £1.00 PP, so waiting for that to turn up.

http://www.fallschirmjager.biz is a working link

I've had these before (not from this site, though), and I wasn't too impressed. Only bother with putting them on if you're prepared to age the entire helmet.

http://www.stahladler.com/ Chap has started via ebay, but does do direct sales. LW helferinnen uniform in garbadine from his is the bees K-nees, not that you chaps care, but he mostly does male kit, so another option. Also offers custom tailoring on the uniform as they are made to order.

Another supplier whose kit looks very good and well priced for what you get. Added bonus, the insignia is stitched on for you AND you can specify any extras that you want added.

http://www.surcompany.com/index.html

And another, whom I can't fault. Delivery is not the fastest but quality is the best of the far east suppiers that I have encountered.

I saw FnG Supplies at an auto jumble at Kempton Park on the weekend and on their stall they had a load of German leather straps. Feldflasche sized ones and blummin' big cart-horse sized ones. All dated dates between pre-WW1 to 1960s. Not much money either, with FnG. They mostly do Yank kit for Films and supply gear for security/police (a bit like how SoF does) and usually sell random Brit and other countries surplus (from all decades, BTW, not just WW2) so might not know what you mean if you go asking for things by there 'proper' names  :good: Hope this info' is of use to someone.

Probably cheapest ones are the budget boots on www.militaria-net.co.uk . I can't vouch for them, though. It might be better to save up for the better ones, at about £75. In the meantime, you can wear gaiters with more modern boots.

If you want to avoid ebay, he's got a website now. Currently having his spring sale so 10% off everything by the looks of it.

Have you bought anything from this shop? Are these:

http://www.hikishop.com/wwii-german-eli ... p-406.html

of any decent quality? It seems they are identical as these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HOT-SALE-WWII ... 1c3c78bad8

so Chinese production. Has anyone seen them and can anyone tell me what the quality is?

Not bought those, but had some stuff from him (Hiki that is). They are a bit hit and miss with sizing in my experience, but from my experience trousers are fine, it is the jackets that seem to be variable.
Quality of sewing is good. I had a set of HBT's wich were excellent and a tropical tunic which was made for a midget.
If you want to be safe go to militaria.net, he'll see you right.

I've actually never seen them before, so I can't vouch for them. Their assertion that the original tunic price was £186 is ludicrous. If you're buying from China, then you might as well use Gavin Militaria - I can recommend them.

I wouldn't recommend that as a first purchase, no. Almost all events require wool Feldgrau uniform as standard - it's what was worn 99% of the time. Have a look at the kit guides.
