If it's nitrate film I'd be nervous being in the same building
I know some people that specialise in transferring old cine film to 4K (super dooper hi-def) and tweaking some of the degradation that occurs to old film over time. That way you never have to risk damaging the film again by running it through a projector.
It really does look great though.
Thomas says he's never viewed, its all in its boxes as was when he acquired it. Still wouldn't mind watching it






They look like 100ft spools. If he has nine of them and they're shot at 24 frames per second it's probably only around 25 minutes of material in total.
Shouldn't be insanely expensive to get them treated and transferred.
