Take a look at the post just above yours! (Always pays to look or search first  )

Oh, and one zelt ain't gonna make a tent but one, two or three can make a shelter. All German dealers sell zelts! (Waits for Poacher to say which zelts to buy!)

Ta dah!
The best ones to buy are originals, more money than repro [not that much though]but even if they have a few pin holes and repairs they are often more waterproof.
The common repros both Heer and SS are from Sturm. Not terrible and they do work. Both prints have faults but only an anorak like me would notice or care.
The buttons on repros can often be a 4 hole type compared to the originals 3 hole.
The large grommets can also be slightly smaller than original and can compromise secure pitching if you use original pegs.
First job is get some cord/rope/string and add loops to all the spots that have the two small grommets. I've yet to see a cheap repro that comes with cord.
Want a really good repro? The Panther store or SM Wholesale are very good.

16 is the norm for a zelthaus. Wonderful but not very good in any kind of wind.

I built a 24 section tent one year at Beltring, all original. :good:
You can get a package deal from some vendors. Richard Underwood does one, 4 zelts, 4 poles, 4 pegs and a rope. Thats easily enough room for 2 unless you have stupid amounts of gear.
All you need to begin with is one to roll up for your belt kit. The same one can be worn in wet weather and used as a cover for your foxhole.
