hey Gunman, could you send me details of how you build your howitzers etc and what requirments you have for stuff like that (which use pyros)

These ones will be made out of wood and metal as my 120s are silly huge and you cant pull them around buildings. All our artillery fires black powder shells, which you eject to re-load.

Hope this helps. PM if you want more info:)

Just read the article, we got 6 pages all togetherJ Very positive but to much going on about the bloody walk to the beach  we’re actually more excited about the next one the first one. What do other think?

Sort out the SafeZone(picnic tables/overhead cover & WC area) pre & post game for BBQ or the like - lot more team interaction and I'm sure AI and everyone else would give u the 5 Stars :D

Also in the D-Day Section - The Sanderson's must have a 'German' look lol, there's a couple of pics

The pic of Headshot looks great - real ingame action shot infront of Arty

Pretty fair review IMO, i wasnt that fussed about the walk and i was gaming with a prolapsed spinal disc... however its a very fair point about telling players to hydrate and hat it was approx two miles would have helped.

Again fair criticism about the early ending, Del and I went for a water break, came back in to the game expecting to have an hour and a quarter left to play and had the whistle blown after ten mins! Frustrating as we'd decimated the line at the point we wanted to attack.

However it was great weekend and this months AI is the most interesting one yet TBH... still not sure about the action man section or computer games... more airsoft content... less other hobbies please.

The walk to the beach was a high point for me, a bit tiring but the long lines of geezers in WW2 gear made a fine sight.
I liked the idea of separate camps for each side but the covered barby area would`ve made a nice meeting place for an evening social, so everyone could mix and have a yap.
The only problem I can remember with the marshalling was getting lost trying to find the entrance to the dunes, but this wasn`t the marshals fault, thats down to basic info which should`ve been given to the chap before the game. The dunes and beach area was difficult to marshal because of the sheer size of the place and the numbers involved...inquisitive members of the public didn`t help either.
4/5 ain`t bad considering the organisation necessary for a weekender of that size, something is always bound to go tits up especially as it was a first. :)

If you look at that centre spread pic you can see how outnumbered the axis were!

Just like in real-life then, eh Gadge ;)

Still haven't got one yet, the only WH Smith I know in the capital is at Waverley train station, and of course up here, hobbys have to compete with Rangers/Celtic magazines...

Did you try borders in York? Thats where I've gotten copies before. (well not borders in York, Borders weren't there when I lived there, but Borders in general).

No longer involved in airsoft.

Just got mine in town, not a bad review, they did make too much out of the walk to the beach.
I would`ve thought it was common sense to carry water whenever you do a physical activity but I`m always surprised at the number of people who don`t, especially as its such a crucial part of a soldiers basic kit.
I thought the review was generous when they mentioned that most airsofters were moderately fit, most I`ve come across have a hard job running a short distance whilst wearing light scales, a fact borne out from many an open day where the geardos turn up wearing the full monty, only to ditch the lot after a 20 minute game because they can`t hack it.

Agreed, Water is an essential. Dont go into the gaming area without a bottle. Its common sense, you will be out their a givven time, and you know you will be doing a physical activity that at times can be very demmanding.

So take all the stuff that you will need. Small First aid kit, Water, snack/ Mars (Sorry I couldnt help it  )Ammo, small gas/ battery and a small repair kit.

Couldn't find one up here, but I'm going home tomorrow for Christmas (Dundee), and there's a WH Smith's there that will likely have it.
